Things were rattling and ringing at R.E. Mountain Secondary

Students evacuated twice after participating in the Great Shakeout at 10:17 a.m.

It was all about emergency preparedness at R.E. Mountain Secondary on Thursday. All students participated in the Great Shakeout earthquake drill at 10:17 a.m.

But then two fire alarms went off, forcing the students to evacuate both times. Fire trucks attended both times.

"It hasn't been determined whether the fire alarms were false or whether someone pulled the alarms. Either way, it was a busy day for students at Mountain," said 91原创 School District Ken Hoff.

All 91原创 schools had to participate in the great shakeout earthquake drill, along with hundreds of businesses here.

The drill required everyone to get under a desk or table and cover their head and hold on.
