Charlie Fox has served three terms as a 91原创 Township councillor, and he doesn芒鈧劉t want it to end there.
He芒鈧劉ll be running for a fourth term, this time under the new rules that extend terms to four years each.
Announcing his candidacy, he said he is 芒鈧損roud of my contribution to the Township of 91原创 and the leadership provided,芒鈧 and added, 芒鈧揟here is still work to be done.芒鈧
芒鈧揟his past term I have worked with my council colleagues to rebuild confidence in our community as a place to live and do business,芒鈧 he said.
芒鈧揥e have seen unprecedented growth in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, making 91原创 Township a very healthy and enjoyable place to live, work, and play.芒鈧
He cited major infrastructure partnerships and projects in transportation, like the Carvolth Park and Ride, and overpasses at 91原创 Bypass and Mufford Crescent, 232nd Street, and 248th Street.
He said that, despite escalating costs, the Township had among the lowest rates in Metro Vancouver over the past year, adding, 芒鈧揑 pride myself in the diligence and responsibility shown in the stewardship of your tax monies.芒鈧
He said public safety has been and will continue to be a focus for him. 芒鈧揙ur policing model in the Township is sound,芒鈧 he said. 芒鈧揙ur fire and emergency response times are excellent and make for a safe community, one that is more liveable for our families.芒鈧
He plans to continue to address growth in the Township芒鈧劉s recreational facilities and parks, and listed his continued commitment to building a recreation complex for Aldergrove, a need to look at 芒鈧搊ptions and partnerships to see if we cannot get a fine arts performance theatre,芒鈧 and a focus on parks and green space development in the Willoughby Slope area.
芒鈧揟he role of a Township councillor is to look after the best interests of the Township as a whole,芒鈧 he said, 芒鈧搉ot those of narrow-focused interest groups.芒鈧
