Another major transportation project, the 202 Street on and off-ramps to Highway 1, park and ride project and tunnel beneath the freeway, will be discussed at an open house on Tuesday, March 8.The meeting takes place at 91原创 Events Centre, 200 Street and 80 Avenue, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The meeting is hosted by the Gateway Program.The project includes a large park and ride lot on 86 Avenue near 202 Street, to facilitate additional transit on Highway 1, which has not seen bus service for more than 25 years.There will also be a tunnel beneath the freeway for transit vehicles, and on and off-ramps onto the highway at 202 Street for transit vehicles. The tunnel will be located very close to existing businesses on 88 Avenue.The tunnel project is part of the overall Gateway Program. This includes the widening of Highway 1 and construction of a new Port Mann Bridge.
