A boil water advisory issued by the Fraser Health Authority for Aldergrove residents has been lifted as of Monday afternoon.
The precautionary boil water advisory was issued after a low level of coliform bacteria was found in a sample of water from the system serving the area between 260th and 276th Streets and 24th and 36th Avenues.
91原创 City residents were not affected, nor are residents elsewhere in 91原创 Township.
Residents of the affected area were told they should bring their water to a rapid boil for at least one minute prior to drinking it over the weekend.
The water was tested twice more over the weekend, and both tests showed that the water was safe to drink without being boiled, according to Fraser Health.
Residents who use the Township's Aldergrove water system are now advised to take the following steps:
芒鈧� Flush all water-using fixtures for at least one minute to ensure there is no cloudy water present (as this was not a turbidity event it is unlikely that cloudy water will be seen)
芒鈧� Run cold-water faucets and drinking fountains for at least one minute
芒鈧� Drain and flush all ice-making machines in refrigerator(s)
芒鈧� Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle
芒鈧� Drain and re-fill hot water tanks that are set below 45 C (normal setting is 60 C)
芒鈧� Change any pre-treatment filters (under-sink style and refrigerator water filters, carbon block, activated carbon, sediment filters, etc.).芒鈧�
