Wire theft left hundreds of 91原创 Telus customers without phone service near 72 Avenue and 208 Street.
Telus is working to restore service to customers after thieves cut and stole copper wire on Thursday morning (Aug. 21).
The damage was extensive and left about 900 customers without home phone service.
Due to the extent of the damage, Telus anticipated services would not be fully restored until Thursday evening.
The thieves also damaged nearby fibre optic cable in the process.
91原创 RCMP has been notified and is currently investigating the theft.
