MYREN 鈥� Annie (Nancy) Giffen Shanks
Passed away March 15, 2011 in Fort 91原创 after a long battle with Alzheimer鈥檚. Predeceased by her husband Roy of 58 years. Survived by her daughters Ro-Anne Johnstone (Lee), Colleen Jollymour (Reid), son Wilf Myren (Janice), her six grandchildren Chris, Jesse, Lisa, Brad, Gord, Jaime and 7 great grandchildren. Mom was born in Glasgow and came to Canada on the last refuge ship leaving Glasgow during the war. Raised in Vancouver, once married moved to 91原创 in 1955. Mom loved music & our family home was always filled with music and the great aromas of Mom鈥檚 kitchen. In her later years she became an avid golfer. Her last years were spent in Simpson鈥檚 Lodge in Fort 91原创. The family would like to thank the staff at Simpson鈥檚 Lodge for their wonderful care and a special thank you to her care companion Bev. A private family service will be held and in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Alzheimer鈥檚 Society.
