NIXON, Cecil Marvin Jr. (1930 - 2014)
Cecil ("Nick") passed away peacefully on December 13, 2014. He was predeceased by his daughter Cynthia and his great-grandson, Jacob. He leaves to mourn, his loving family: his wife of 63 years, Betty, his sister, Evelyn, his son David (Laurie), his daughters, Judy (Micheal) and Valerie (Roy), his grandchildren (Christie, Steffen, Jeremy, Candice, Jessica, Lynn, Jenna, Daniel and Krystil) and great-grandchildren (Dylan, Rydin, Carter, Jack, Thurston, Colton, Emmett and Westin). Cecil was born in Hunt County, Texas to Cecil Sr. and Juanita Nixon. He served in the US Navy from 1947 - 1951. He met Betty in San Fransisco in 1951 and they were married on June 1. They lived in Texas for four years, where David and Cynthia were born. They moved to North Delta, BC in 1955 and then added Judy and Valerie to their family. It was in Delta that they enjoyed many years with their friends and extended family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 11040 River Rd, Delta on December 30 at 1:00pm.
