Erica Saladin, born on May 25, 1933 in Basel, Switzerland, passed away on August 16, 2013 after a considerable battle with Parkinson's. She is survived by her family in Switzerland; siblings: Roesli, Fritz, Nellie, Heidi, Karl, and nephews: Romano, Sandro and Marco (Esther). In Canada, Erica's good friends: Susan, her children Annelisa and Paul, Garry, Ruth, Annelise, Tony, Marjan and Lambert. Erica studied psychiatric nursing in Switzerland under the famous Dr. Bleuler, and immigrated to Canada in 1965, studying Occupational Therapy with Susan in Kingston, Ontario. Erica worked at Pearson Hospital Extended Care Unit, The 3H Society, and the Riverview Forensic Institute. Upon retirement, Erica served on the Board of The Ishtar Transition House. Erica will be sorely missed by her many friends and family. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
