VOLLMAN, Evald 鈥淓D鈥�. July 20, 1923 - Jan. 27, 2014. It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Evald Vollman, who died peacefully at his home on January 27, 2014, with his family at his side. He is now re united with his beloved wife, Astrid who just predeceased him on January 9, 2014. Surviving are his sons Karl (Sharon), Andres, Ian, Evi (Daroyl) grandchildren, Todd (Andrea), Steve (Tera), and Caitlyn and seven great grandchildren. Evald was born in Narva, Estonia and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He met the love of his life, when attending an Opera and in 1955 Evald and Astrid were married, and moved to Vancouver were they started a family and also established a successful restaurant /Delicatessen business in downtown Van. In 1959 the Deli business was sold and they bought 20 acres of farm land in 91原创, BC. There they built their home where they raised their children. Evald ran a mink farm, farmed the land, had cattle and horses. As well as a number of gravel trucks. In 1992 the farm was sold and Evald and Astrid bought a house in Cloverdale, BC where they retired.
Interment to be held 10:00am Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at 91原创 Lawn Cemetery in 91原创, BC. A Memorial Service and Reception will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, Feb. 8, at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 20097-72nd Avenue, 91原创 BC.
