LENDVOY, Frank Stanley. Our beloved father, Frank Stanley Lendvoy, passed away on May 27th in his 89th year with his devoted wife, Jeanne, by his side. Dad was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters and his first wife, Elizabeth. He is mourned by his wife of 39 years, Jeanne; sons Harry (Carol), Len (Leslie), Kelly (Linda) and stepson Russell (Deb); grandsons Jeremy, Nic, Garrett, Hank and many nephews and nieces. Frank and Jeanne raised their sons in Vancouver where Frank worked in the maritime industry for 35 years. They found their retirement home on the Nicomekl River in 91Ô´´ where they walked their dogs and gardened extensively for 25 years. They also enjoyed many trips in their RV from Arizona to Alaska. Their most cherished moments, though, were visiting their favourite spots in BC, especially Kettle Valley and his brother Andy’s ranch in the Chilcotin. Frank was an ideal father and husband: loving, supportive and a gentleman in every sense of the word. His family was the most important part of his life. He provided his sons with unconditional love and encouraged all their athletic and academic pursuits. He fixed 2 generation’s worth of bikes, sports equipment and tools. He groomed and exercised our dogs and horses (and sons) when we were too busy. Frank’s friends, neighbours, and relatives also loved and admired this wonderful man. Wherever he lived, Frank became the ‘go to guy’ when anyone had electrical, plumbing or construction problems. He always found time to help others. Frank touched many lives with his charm and open heartedness. He maintained his quiet dignity and playful sense of humour even in his last 5 years when Alzheimer’s slowly stole him from us. He will be deeply missed. No service by request. Thanks to the helpful, caring staff at 91Ô´´ Lodge who took such good care of our father & appreciated this kind and gentle man.
" Rest in peace, Dad. "
