BAYER, Gladys Helen 1921 - 2012. Passed away suddenly on Wednesday September 13th. Survived by her husband Bill and Sisters Rita and Kit. Her niece June and all of her extended English family. Her sisters in law, Amber, Eve, Joan, their brother Robert, and all of their many children and grandchildren. Her son Leslie and daughter in law Cathy. Her grandson William and his wife Jeannie and her great grandchildren Thomas and John. Gladys was a favourite teacher for over 20 years as the Home Economics Teacher at Jericho Hill School for hearing and visually challenged children. She was a passionate and inspirational mentor for many students. After retiring from teaching, Gladys and her husband Bill opened one of the first home based Nurseries on 14A Avenue in 91原创. Gladys love of people and her knowledge of plants, her wonderful hospitality and gift for teaching created a unique atmosphere for customers, friends and family. Gladys will be remembered for the many wonderful parties she gave for her friends and family, celebrating every occasion big or small, preparing fantastic home cooked food, desserts and pastries. The spirit of a loving heart will live forever. A celebration of Gladys' life will be held at First Memorial, Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Rd. North Vancouver on Saturday September 22 at 2:00 PM. with a reception and tea to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.
