Hendrik (Henk) Byl. Born July 23, 1931 in the Netherlands. He passed on to be with his Heavenly Father June 13, 2014 in 91原创, BC. He was pre-deceased in 2012 by his daughter Janet Edwards. He is survived by Sanne, his loving wife of just over 60 years; son Harry (Shirley) Byl, son-in-law Brad Edwards, daughter Teri (Ken) Bosch, son John (Connie) Byl. Opa will be greatly missed by his 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Henk came to Canada after marrying Sanne to start a family and career in the Vancouver area. He soon started work at St. Paul's Hospital as a Steam Engineer, retraining and upgrading his skills through a 35 year tenure, eventually becoming Chief Engineer. The family would like to thank the excellent staff at Marrwood Residential Care facility for their care of Henk these past few years. A Memorial Service is to be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Willoughby Christian Reformed Church, 20525 鈥� 72nd Ave., 91原创, BC.
