OWENS, Martha Dora. 1926 鈥� 2014
With saddened hearts and much love, we say farewell to our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, who passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on November 5, 2014 in 91原创, BC. Martha is predeceased by her beloved husband Frank, who passed away in 1983. Born in Hamburg, Germany, Martha (nee Mohr) married Frank Owens in the U.K. in 1948 Martha and her husband Frank (who served in the R.A.F. during WW II) immigrated to Canada where Frank joined the Royal Canadian Air Force Martha鈥檚 first son, Dennis was born in Barrie, Ontario and second son Jim in Calgary, Alberta. After a number of military postings in Canada, Martha was with her husband and children stationed at Royal Canadian Air Force bases in the U.K., France and Germany. Martha鈥檚 life always revolved around her family 鈥� We will miss her terribly. Survived by loving sons, Dennis (Anne), 91原创 - Jim (Michelle), Nanaimo - grandchildren: Robert (Laura), Victoria 鈥� Crystal, Vancouver 鈥� Cheryl, 91原创 and Great Grandchildren: Max & Ben (Victoria) and Jordan (91原创). Martha is also survived by her sister Anna, Dusseldorf, Germany and many nephews & nieces in Germany, the U.K. and Australia. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph鈥檚 Roman Catholic Church 20676 Fraser Highway, 91原创, BC. Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. / Reception to follow 鈥� St. Joseph鈥檚 Church Hall Internment - 1:30 p.m. Valley View Memorial Gardens 14644 鈥� 72nd Avenue, Surrey, BC.
