Norman HANDY

HANDY, Norman, born December 1, 1931 in Oakland, California passed away May 19, 2011 with his family by his side in 91原创, BC. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 57 years, Juanita, and their children: Virginia (Dan) Thiele, John (Corinne) Handy, Susan (John) Welch, and their 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter, his mother Marie Handy, and his sister Rae Gillen. Norman will be remembered for his godly character, love for his family and enthusiasm for teaching. He was a life-long learner and had a love for traveling/RVing. He had a heart of service for the Lord and lived out his Christian faith by serving others. He served his country in the Air Force for 4 years. He was a founding father of the Fort 91原创 Evangelical Free Church. He taught various grades in California and the Lower Mainland. He was a professor at Trinity Western University for 11 years. Norman endured his disease bravely and had the assurance that God is in control. We rejoice that he is now with his Lord and Savior. Memorial Service at Fort 91原创 Evangelical Free Church, 8870 Glover Road, on Tuesday, May 31 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Alzheimers Society of B.C.
