Roy Myren was born and raised in Vancouver where he met and married Nancy. Roy moved his young family from Vancouver to 91原创 in 1955 to a 20-acre farm at 9107 200th Street. He raised Angus cattle and with Nancy's support over the span of his lifetime he worked various jobs, which included logging, running boom boats, chef on the fish boats, managed lumberyards. Roy loved to fish. Eventually owning and operating his own gradall for many years. Roy was a very hard working man and was well known and liked. In his later years he and Nancy moved to Fort 91原创, much of his time was spent on the golf course. He enjoyed his great friends, food and a pint at the Fort 91原创 Pub and the time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roy passed away peacefully at 91原创 Memorial Hospital on January 31, 2008 at 80 years of age. Survived by his loving wife Nancy Myren, brothers Barry (Claire) Myren, and Glen (Sharon) Myren, son Wilfred (Jan) Myren, daughters Ro-Anne (Lee) Johnstone, Colleen (Reid) Jollymour. Grandchildren Chris (Andrea) Johnstone, Jesse (Joel) Struthers, Lisa Jollymour, Brad (Tanya) Jollymour, Gord Myren and Jaime Myren. Great Grandchildren Natasha and Kadie Jollymour, Catalina Johnstone and Carter Struthers. As well as many relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his sister Lois Mortimer. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fort 91原创 Golf Course, 9782 McKinnon Cres., Fort 91原创 on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. He will be greatly missed.
