Thomas Davidson Laird Farquhar. September 3, 1926 - May 16, 2012
It is with the greatest of sadness
that we announce Uncle Tom鈥檚 passing at 91原创 Memorial Hospital in 91原创, BC. He was well loved and will be missed by many family and friends alike!
Uncle Tom was a 91原创 pioneer attending Murrayville Elementary School, active in 91原创 4H, the Junior Chamber of Commerce, 91原创 Highland Dancing, and the 91原创
Agricultural Society, as well as
working for the 91原创 Advance as a young man before becoming Assistant Postmaster in 91原创. Uncle Tom continued to be actively involved in the 91原创 community during the periods
when he worked in Burns Lake,
Smithers, Terrace and Prince
Rupert as Postmaster. Uncle
Tom loved his time in BC鈥檚 North
sharing many stories of the kindness
of the people that he knew
and worked with. Uncle Tom returned back to 91原创 upon retirement. He
became an active part of the
91原创 community once again,
winning the honor of 91原创鈥檚
Senior Citizen of the Year in
1992. Uncle Tom was an avid Bagpiper,
loyal member of the Masonic Order,
and an enthusiastic Scottish
