Doug is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen, 3 children: Debra (Bryan), Janice (Daniel) and Kevin (Rose), 5 grandchildren: Clea (Mathew), Jess (Quentin), Katie (Matt), Dustin & Alex and 2 great grandsons, Kayden & Mason as well as many extended family and friends. He was born in Blanshard, Manitoba, moving to Aldergrove with his family when he was about 11 years old. Doug worked at the Otter Co-op Feed Mill for over 40 years. He was a man with a deep love of family, cribbage, farming, gardening, fishing and camping. He was a proud and resilient husband, father, grandfather and friend, always willing to participate in our lives. He was an avid reader with a great love of sports and playing cards. Doug was a member of the Harmsworth Cribbage team for many years as well as a founding member of the Otter Firehall in 91原创 Township. After retiring, Doug enjoyed wood- working and travelling the world with family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the BC Cancer Foundation in lieu of flowers. A celebration of life will be planned for later in the spring.
