Editor: I couldn鈥檛 agree more with Andy Schildhorn鈥檚 statement (The Times, July 5).
I was born and raised in Fort 91原创 and slowly have seen it go from a village to part of Metro Vancouver.
People move here for the quaintness of the village, they then want all the amenities such as a Starbucks, McDonalds recreation centres, etc.
The retailers of Fort 91原创 come and go. There are always empty shops. I don鈥檛 see the need for such a large building on the corner of Glover and Mavis.
Do they have people willing to rent these offices and shops, or will they sit empty for months as well?
We, the people of Fort 91原创, should have the right to a say, not just a show-and-tell at the community hall.
