B.C. soccer championships coming to 91Ô­´´ in July

Champions will be crowned next month at Willoughby Community Park as 91Ô­´´ hosts the 2013 B.C. youth provincial A Cup soccer championships.

Teams from six different regions of the province — more than 800 players — will compete for championships in the U13 to U18 age groups.

"91Ô­´´ United is pleased to welcome all players, coaches, officials, parents and volunteers," said Dave Kasper, the president of the 91Ô­´´ United Soccer Association, which is hosting the championships.

"We think the B.C. soccer community will be impressed by the scale of the facilities available in 91Ô­´´ for the championships and we look forward to playing host to everyone during this championship weekend."

The preliminary round action in each division will take place July 4 to 6 will all of the age group finals being held on July 7. There will also be opening ceremonies on July 5 at 5 p.m. and closing ceremonies following the final championship.
