Blaze keep bashing ball, stretch streak to 11 games

Offense putting up video game numbers, outscoring foes 74-18 over past six games

The 91原创 Blaze continue to give the scoreboard a workout as they posted another 25 runs on Tuesday night in a doubleheader sweep of the visiting Coquitlam Reds at McLeod Park.

The Blaze beat the Reds 10-3 and 15-8 to push their winning streak to 11 games and stretch their lead atop the B.C. Premier Baseball League to two games with a record of 13-3.

The wins cap off a that saw the U18 baseball team go a perfect 6-0, outscoring the competition a staggering 74-18.

The Reds struck for a pair of runs in the top of the first inning but 91原创 countered with four-run innings in both the fourth and sixth to win 10-3.

Nick Rutckyj and Mike Dagg both drove in three runs. Rutckyj finished 3-for-3 with a home run.

Shoma Sasaki also drove in a pair of runs.

Kyle Ross earned the win, scattering six hits over seven innings while striking out  six.

The Reds again had an early lead, leading 3-1 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, but 91原创 put up eight runs in that inning on their way to a 15-8 victory.

Tyler O鈥橬eill was 4-for-5 with four RBIs while Mitchell Robinson, Mason Cratty, Rutckyj and Dagg each driving in a pair of runs.

Braeden Bouchey picked up the win, allowing four runs over five innings while striking out five.
