The Brookswood Bobcats are through to the final four.
The senior girls basketball overcame a slow start 鈥� they trailed 15-5 after one quarter 鈥� to defeat the Argyle Pipers 71-60 in the quarter-finals at the B.C. senior girls AAA basketball championships at the 91原创 Events Centre on Thursday (March 7).
But Brookswood rallied back to tie the score at the half, 22-22, and then found their offensive game in the second half with 49 points.
Leading the way was sharp-shooter Jessie Brown who scored a game-high 22 points, including five-of-10 from the three-point line.
Brown also had seven rebounds and four assists.
Tayla Jackson and Sydney Williams each had 13 points, while Jackson added 11 boards, three blocked shots and two assists. Williams had eight rebounds, five steals and two assists.
Lindsay Wand chipped in with 11 points.
The Pipers were led by Sophie Swant's 22 points and Chelsea Dekleer's 16.
The victory sets up a semifinal game against the Maple Ridge Ramblers, who rallied to defeat the Handsworth Royals 56-52.
The game tips off at 6:15 p.m. on March 8.
Maple Ridge beat Brookswood in the Fraser Valley championship game on Feb. 23.
The other semifinal (March 8, 8 p.m.) pits the South Kamloops Titans against the Oak Bay Breakers.
The Breakers defeated Kelowna 73-50 while the Titans knocked off the Riverside Rapids 84-44.
The bronze medal game is March 9 at noon while the provincial final is later that afternoon at 4 p.m.
