A free athletic scholarship information session for parents and athletes will be held on Saturday (Nov. 30) at the Walnut Grove Community Centre.
The community centre is located at 8889 Walnut Grove Dr.
The session is designed to help athletes and their families navigate the rules of college and university athletics.
They are run by Bill Green, a high school principal from Vancouver Island, as well as a college teacher.
鈥淭he pathway to your dreams can be a challenging, yet wonderful experience,鈥� Green said. 鈥淭here are so many male and female athletes in B.C. who have the potential to move on to the college or university level, but never get the chance because they don鈥檛 know what to do.鈥�
There are two sessions being offered, one at 6 p.m. and the other at 7 p.m.
