While her classmates are enjoying the last few days of spring break, 91原创鈥檚 Tayla Jackson is off in Toronto in pursuit of representing her country.
Jackson is among the 20 players invited for the women鈥檚 age group assessment camp, which runs March 29 to April 1 at Toronto鈥檚 Humber College.
The players are all jockeying for a position on Canada鈥檚 cadette team (players born in 1997 or later) which will compete this summer at the FIBA Americas U16 championship. It will be held June 19 to 23 in Mexico.
The 15-year-old Jackson, a Grade 10 student at Brookswood Secondary, helped the 鈥機ats senior girls team win silver at the B.C. girls AAA basketball championships earlier this month.
