Matthew Reston delivered a bases-loaded single which scored two runs in the bottom of the 11th inning to send the 91原创 Junior Blaze to a 9-7 victory.
The Blaze were hosting the Abbotsford Jr. Cardinals at McLeod Park on May 24 in B.C. Junior Premier Baseball League action.
91原创 improved to 14-5 and they hold a one-game lead atop the standings. The Cardinals fell to 11-8.
91原创 won despite committing eight errors, which led to five unearned runs for Abbotsford.
The Blaze raced out to an early 4-0 lead after the second inning but Abbotsford chipped away with runs in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
Mason Verge went 3-for-6 at the plate with two RBIs, while Justin Lawrence also had three hits, including a double and an RBI.
Colin McMaster and Danny Hollins had the other RBIs.
Hollins also picked up the win, pitching the final three innings and striking out five of the 13 batters he faced.
