The senior A men's lacrosse team used a on Tuesday to take a huge 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Western Lacrosse Association semifinal series over the Burnaby Lakers.

"We are a good team," said Thunder coach Rod Jensen, referring to the fact 91原创 captured the WLA regular season title after a 12-6-0 record and to .

"We are a little bit tougher, more size, more physical," he said.

"And having that big kid () in net can be frustrating."

MacDonald, a six-foot-seven goaltender who won the rookie of the year last season, is allowing 6.39 goals against per game with a .849 save percentage.

That is nearly two full goals below his regular season average.

A loss and the teams will return to the LEC on Monday for game five.

But Jensen would prefer to end things before the weekend.

"You always want a little bit of rest and time for preparation," he said.
