Mustangs D gets job done

For the second week in a row, the 91Ô­´´ Mustangs defence did not allow a touchdown as the bantam football team grounded the Abbotsford Falcons 22-1 on Sunday at McLeod Park.

Led by quarterback Stephen Legare and the Mustangs offensive line, 91Ô­´´ got two scores from Joe Carter and another from Devon McBride.

The Mustangs also had two scores from Dallas Korfman and Devin Dacosta wiped out by  penalties.

The defence was led by Dalton Dietrich, Nicolas Kravetz and Ryan Porteous.

Quarterback Jack Laurin ran for five touchdowns and 300 yards as the 91Ô­´´ Broncos hammered the Vancouver Trojans 38-6 in atom football at McLeod Park on Sunday.

Anthony Gent also had one score while Nico Gerussi connected on his first pass.

The defence was led by U’Shaun Campbell, who had seven tackles, while Kian Gilroy added four more tackles to give him a team-leading 22 on the season.

The Broncos improved to 3-1.

The 91Ô­´´ Bandits rallied in the second half to defeat the Coquitlam Crushers 9-3 in flag football.

Jordan Tomica scored two second half touchdowns thanks to some great blocking from Aidan Foster.

Elijah Hams and Dillon Boutilier led the defence.
