Django Lovett, a junior at the University of New Mexico, has been named to Team BC for the Canadian national track and field championships later this month.

Canada has called upon a pair of javelin throwers from the 91原创 Mustangs Track and Field Club.

Kyle Nielsen and Tiffany Matteazzi have both qualified to represent Canada at the Summer Universiade (FISU Games) in Kazan, Russia.

This will be Nielsen's second time at the Games, as he also attended in 2011 in China, where he placed 10th.

Also named to the 56-person roster by Athletics Canada is high jumper Django Lovett.

He won three consecutive B.C. high school provincial high jump titles while at Brookswood Secondary and now attends the University of New Mexico on scholarship. He is just finishing his junior season.

Lovett trains with the Valley Royals in Abbotsford as well.
