Okanagan Sun’s Ben White fends off 91Ô´´ Rams’ Charles Scott (#11) and Nick Felicella at Kelowna’s Apple Bowl. White scored two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score late in a 33-23 Sun victory.

After quarterback Brandon Leyh and receiver Nick Downey hooked up for a 39-yard touchdown strike to give the 91Ô´´ Rams a late lead, the Okanagan Sun marched back and scored two touchdowns in the final 1:40 to win 33-23.

The two B.C. Junior Football Conference teams were playing at Kelowna's Apple Bowl on Saturday night.

The late flurry capped off a furious fourth quarter were both teams scored 21 points.

The win improved the Sun to 2-0 while the Rams dropped to 0-2. The teams complete the home-and-home series on Saturday (Aug. 8) at McLeod Park with a 7 p.m. kick-off time.

After the Rams went ahead 23-19, the Sun marched back down the field and capitalized on a 29-yard touchdown reception from Ben White, his second score of the game.

Trailing by three points, 91Ô´´ had one more drive, but an errant snap went over the head of Leyh and was recovered by the Sun at the Rams' five-yard line.

A few plays later, they punched the ball in for the insurance score and 33-23 final score.

The Rams also received a rushing touchdown from Kyle Albertini and an interception touchdown from Joe Patko.

91Ô´´'s other points came off a conceded safety.

The Rams offence struggled for much of the game, generating just four first downs and 150 yards of offence.
