A taste of the Scottish Highlands is coming to 91原创.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the City's annual Community Day celebration, residents are invited to watch and take part in 91原创's own Highland Games, which will include traditional sporting events, Highland music and children's activities.
The games, which are being put on by 91原创's Christian Life Assembly, will take place throughout the day June 21 at Douglas Park, where the majority of Community Day events are centred.
Sporting events will include the caber toss, which is a Scottish athletic event in which competitors throw a large tapered pole, stone putting and a community team-based tug-of-war. Kids will also be invited to participate in a traditional Wellington boot toss.
91原创 Community Day kicks off with its annual parade from 201 Street to 207 Street along Fraser Highway, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21. Attendees will then be invited to Douglas Park to enjoy the Highland Games, dozens of community booths, kids zone activities and eight stages of local entertainment.
