Spotlight shines on six 91原创 Gymnastics Foundation athletes

Six 91原创 Gymnastics Foundation gymnasts have been named named to Gymnastics BC鈥檚 High Performance Pathway.

Six members of the 91原创 Gymnastics Foundation ( LGF) are on Gymnastics BC鈥檚 radar.

LGF athletes named named to Gymnastics BC鈥檚 High Performance Pathway are: Trevor Ma,14, Blake Morfitt, 12, Cathy Zhong,13, Paula Urquidi, 16, Emilie Hong, 15, and Kennedy Duke, 12.

In doing so, they are now part of a list of 鈥渢argeted athletes鈥 who are already reaching a certain level of excellence that makes them stand out and become ones to watch in the coming years, and 鈥渨ho have a good chance of reaching and succeeding in higher national and international levels of competition,鈥 explained LGF marketing director Tattina Tedaka-Slavik.

The Gymnastics BC High Performance Pathway is a provincial talent development program and according to Gymnastics BC, 鈥渋s devoted to the pursuit of excellence and achievement of medals at the highest national and international level.鈥

The goal of the program is to identify and support athletes and coaches who aim for national and international excellence in their chosen discipline. Funding for the program is provided by GBC and viaSport.

The program caters to men鈥檚 artistic gymnastics, women鈥檚 artistic gymnastics, and trampoline.
