Three of the four junior girls basketball teams from 91原创 have moved on to the round of 16 at the Fraser Valley championships, including one by upset victory.
The third-seed Walnut Grove Gators, , disposed of the No. 30 Guildford Park Sabres 57-28 on Monday afternoon at Walnut Grove Secondary. The victory sets up a match against No. 14 Fraser Heights on Feb. 20 at WGSS. Game time is 2 p.m.
Also advancing from Monday's opening round were the No. 9 Brookswood Bobcats and the No. 23 91原创 Christian Lightning.
The 鈥機ats dumped the MEI Eagles 49-35 and they now face the No. 8 Heritage Woods Kodiaks at W.J. Mouat Secondary.
The Lightning pulled off the upset, defeating the No. 10 Yale Lions by a score of 49-33.
91原创 Christian draws the No. 7 Earl Mariott Mariners in their next game on Feb. 20 which will be played at Riverside Secondary.
The Mariners prevented an all-91原创 game by defeating the No. 26 R.E. Mountain Eagles 60-34.
