With five games remaining, the 91原创 Trappers continue to make a push for the post-season.
The Trappers scored four second-period goals to erase a 1-0 deficit to defeat the visiting Surrey Knights 5-1 on Wednesday (Jan. 24) at the George Preston Recreation Centre in PJHL action.
The victory improved the 91原创 junior B hockey club to 15-21-1-2 and their 33 points have them two points head of both the Mission City Outlaws and the Aldergrove Kodiaks for third place in the Harold Brittain Conference.
Hollander Thompson led the offence with two goals and an assist while Stephen Sielsky, Colin Cromie and Joshua Boelema had the other goals.
Michael Penman opened the scoring for the Knights in the first period, but that was the only puck to elude Trappers鈥� goalie Kristian Lyon, who finished with 22 saves.
The Trappers face a tough test this weekend as they visit the Ridge Meadows Flames on Saturday (Jan. 27). The two teams will also play Jan. 31 at the Preston Centre.
The Flames lead the Harold Brittain Conference with 50 points, two ahead of the Abbotsford Pilots.
Several members of the Trappers will also be involved in the PJHL鈥檚 Top Prospects Game on Jan. 29 at Abbotsford鈥檚 MSA Arena.
