The North Shore Twins shocked the 91原创 Blaze, taking them out two games to none in their opening round quarter-final playoff series.
The Twins pitching staff did a masterful job, not allowing a single run as they won 3-0 and 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at McLeod Park in the best-of-three B.C. Premier Baseball League playoff series.
The Blaze (39-9) were the top seed while the Twins (22-26) were the eighth seed.
In game one, North Shore scored twice in the top of the first inning on a pair of unearned runs and then tacked on a third run in the third inning.
North Shore pitcher Kyle Olver allowed just three hits and one walk in a complete game effort.
Marc Andre Habeck was tagged with the loss.
In the second game, the Twins scored runs in the third and sixth innings and that was more than enough offence for Jordan Kellof, who went the distance, allowing seven hits and no walks over seven innings.
Jon Bauer was tagged with the loss.
