TWU Hockey: Coyotes double Spartans

Third period costs Trinity Western men's hockey team

The were done in by the final 20 minutes of their hockey game against the Okanagan Coyotes.

Playing a B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League game in Kelowna, the Spartans were tied at two following 40 minutes of play.

But the Coyotes outscored the Spartans 4-1 in the third to win .

鈥淲e had a hard fought first two periods but in the third period, we couldn鈥檛 quite get it done,鈥 said Trinity Western coach Dwayne Lowdermilk.

鈥淚t wasn鈥檛 for a lack of effort, but unfortunately, it didn鈥檛 go our way tonight.鈥

Matt Chaput scored twice for the Spartans while Jordan Magnusson had the other.
