A Bobby Wagner single gave the 91原创 Senior Blaze a walk-off 5-4 victory.
The senior men鈥檚 baseball team was hosting the Burnaby Bulldogs on Monday night at McLeod Park.
The Bulldogs had tied the score at four with three runs in the top of the sixth and then another in the seventh. And with extra innings looming, Wagner hit a two-out single which scored Tyler Willson from second base.
Willson finished with a pair of RBIs while Bob Foerster and Clayton Howell each drove in one run.
The win improved 91原创 to 2-2 in the Pacific Metro Baseball League.
The Blaze, made up of local ball players home for the summer from college and university, also played a pair of Pacific International League games on Sunday, earning a split with the Seattle Studs in Tacoma.
91原创 is 5-1 in the PIL.
The Blaze won the opener 6-2 as Zach Mihic, Brad Ferraro and Shane Kraemer each drove in a pair of runs. Steven Federau earned the win, allowing two runs and coming within one out of a complete game.
Game two saw 91原创 leading 5-2 after three innings, but Seattle scored nine unanswered runs to win 11-5.
The team also played two exhibition games on Saturday versus the North Sound Emeralds in Lynnwood, Wash.
The Blaze lost both games by a 2-1 score.
