Aldergrove Legion 2017 Poppy campaign begins

The Poppy campaign officially begins Friday, Oct. 27 and continues until Nov. 10 in the community.

On Remembrance Day, Nov. 11, the Aldergrove Legion Cenotaph will host the Remembrance Day service. A parade starts at 10 a.m. and the service concludes with the moment of silence at 11 a.m.

The Aldergrove Legion is asking the public for volunteer help in 鈥渢agging鈥 for the Poppy campaign fundraiser.

鈥淎nyone who has a couple of hours to spare for taging will be most welcome to stop by the Aldergrove Legion, where we have a sign-up sheet for volunteers,鈥 said Legion spokesperson Madeline Roach. 鈥淭hey can also call our office at 604-856-8814.

Taggers will canvass donors for the Poppy campaign at the Aldergrove Safeway, Save on Foods and Liquor Store from Oct. 27 to Nov. 10.
