Bobs & Lolo perform at 91原创鈥檚 Rivers Day

Costume parade, gold panning, climbing wall and free barbecue on Sunday

A show by children鈥檚 performers Bobs &Lolo, a costume parade, gold panning, face painting and a free barbecue are just some of the events that will be featured at this year鈥檚 BC Rivers Day celebrations at 91原创鈥檚 Derek Doubleday Arboretum on Sunday, Sept. 24. The free, family-friendly event goes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition to a performance by Bobs &Lolo, there will be animal displays, story time, a climbing wall, and a free hotdog barbecue lunch. Visitors are reminded to bring a refillable drink container. 91原创鈥檚 event kicks off Water Week, which celebrates awareness of the importance of all B.C.鈥檚 waterways.

The Derek Doubleday Arboretum is located at 21200 Fraser Hwy., is home to the 91原创 Demonstration Garden, a fully accessible trail system, the Nicomekl River and a war memorial.

Parking is available at 91原创 Secondary School with a free shuttle to the Rivers Day event site.
