There was live music and hot chocolate and cookies, and, of course, Santa.

Several hundred people turned out for the official lighting of the Christmas tree at the Fort 91Ô´´ community hall on Saturday.

Santa arrived at the docks by the Leləm’ Arts and Cultural Cafe and walked with a crowd of fans to the community hall.

Organizers issued a thank you to The Cap Group: Raymond James in Fort 91Ô´´ for making the 2017 tree lighting possible, and to Wendel’s Bookstore and Cafe for the hot chocolate and cookies.
