Keith LaPierre wants to take the 91原创 School District carpentry program and become a carpenter so he welcomed the chance for a summertime apprenticeship with the district maintenance department.
Money the 17-year-old earned from his summer job allowed him to buy toys for the Inclusion 91原创 Society annual toy drive. He was one of those who stopped by the society's Winter Wonderland, a celebration on Dec. 5, marking the culmination of the toy and goods drive. The toys and other children's gifts gathered during the annual campaign were donated to the 91原创 Christmas Bureau.
The Inclusion 91原创 site at 23535 44 Ave. was festooned with inflatables, lights, music, and costumed staff for visitors to enjoy an afternoon of fun that included visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a photo booth for elfie selfies, and more.
