Amateur photographers from West Vancouver through to Chilliwack will converge on Fort 91原创 this weekend for a showdown.
They芒鈧劉re competing to find out who is the best in the region in the Fraser Valley Invitational, a competition hosted for the past 16 years by the 91原创 Camera Club.
Typically, there are about 250 people who turn out for the competition, which this year is set for Saturday, May 2.
Each year, the 15 participating clubs are given a shared theme. This year, it was simplicity. Club members are asked to enter their best digital images portraying that theme, then each club shortlists its best that are then sent to the invitational.
The event is being held at 7:30 p.m. in the Chief Sepass Theatre at the 91原创 Fine Arts School, 9096 Trattle St. in Fort 91原创. Tickets are $16 in advance, $20 at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a trade show and print exhibition.
