Shortreed Elementary's parent advisory council has been busy readying for the Fun Fair on Friday, May 24.
Between 3:30 and 7:30 p.m., people can enjoy a variety of activities while helping the PAC raise money to help students.
"We have pony rides, wild education (reptiles), photo booth, rides, bouncy castles, carnival games, hot dogs, cotton candy popcorn, and come community groups to do some demonstrations," said Jennifer Cooksley, one of those involved in the fundraiser.
Organizers say the event offers lots for kids to do. There's face painting, a rock climbing wall, and an inflatable obstacle course.
The cost is $15 (people purchase a wristband) for most people but it's $5 for children four and younger. The wristband gets wearers access to most of the activities but a few require the purchase of tickets (the cakewalk, jar games, and ponies, for instance).
