People had to re-route around the area of 232nd Street and Fraser Highway as emergency crews dealt with a serious crash Wednesday morning.
鈥淔raser Highway is open to traffic,鈥� 91原创 RCMP Cpl. Holly Largy said early Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called just prior to 7 a.m. on Wednesday for a two-vehicle collision. A Hyundai Tiburon was eastbound on Fraser. A Chrysler 200 was westbound in the left turn lane to make a turn to go south on 232nd Street when the crash occurred.
鈥淓ach vehicle had only one occupant. One driver has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The other driver will be taken to hospital by air ambulance,鈥� she explained.
Police will be looking to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision.
鈥淎t this time, all that is know is the collision was high speed,鈥� Largy said.
ICARS has completed its work at the scene. The driver who was airlifted to hospital was not wearing a seatbelt.
鈥淎pparently the seriously injured fellow will be fine,鈥� she said.
