BREAKING: Vessel near former BC Ferry in Mission catches fire

Mission Fire Rescue Service crews on scene at Lougheed Highway and Nelson Street; Coast Guard notified

Mission Fire Rescue Service are responding to a fire of a smaller vessel moored next to the former Queen of Sidney on Sunday (July 13).

A smaller vessel near the former Queen of Sidney ferry in Mission is on fire. 

Crews from all three Mission Fire Rescue Service fire halls are responding to the blaze near Lougheed Highway and Nelson Street as of 7 p.m. on Sunday (July 13), and the Canadian Coast Guard has been notified. 

According to the Alertable app, the former Queen of Sidney itself is not on fire. 

The ex-BC ferry garnered a large response on May 3 after it caught fire while moored on the Fraser River.
