A large fire has destroyed Shell gas station at Bridal Falls Road in Popkum, near Chilliwack, on Saturday.
Popkum firefighters were paged at about noon to respond to a motor home on fire. Chilliwack and Agassiz firefighters are on the scene as is the RCMP. BC Hydro and Fortis BC have also been paved.
The motor home was fully involved and fire has spread to the station. Smoke can easily be seen from Agassiz.
The adjacent Ranchers restaurant sustained damage.
