The incident took place just after 7 p.m. on Feb. 28, according to Cpl. Zynal Sharoom.

The 14-year-old was apparently running east towards Michaud Crescent, while the car was driving north on 200th Street, said Sharoom.

The teenager was treated at the scene by BC Ambulance Services paramedics before being taken to hospital. Her injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

The driver of the car, a 32-year-old man, stayed at the scene of the crash, said Sharoom. He has cooperated with police.

Speed and impairment are not believed to be factors in the collision, but torrential rain may have reduced visibility.

91原创 RCMP are asking any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage from the area around 7 p.m. that evening to contact the detachment at 604-532-3200, and quote file number 2024-6310.
