A 91原创 bike shop is hosting a Mother's Day event that doubles as a fundraiser for 91原创 Meals on Wheels.
West Point Cycles is teaming up with HUB 91原创, a cycling advocacy group, for the May 11 event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the store's location at 20445 62 Ave.
"We're doing kind of a big open-house style barbecue," said store manager Andrew Brumby.
The event will include bike clinics on subjects such as changing a tire, basic bike maintenance, and how to choose the best e-bike.
There are hourly door prizes, and a raffle for a Trek hybrid bike valued at about $1,500.
Anyone interested in the clinics or barbecue can drop by, with proceeds supporting which brings meals to seniors, people just out of hospital, and those in need of extra support.
