As the first phase of widening of 208 Street in Willoughby continues, there will be several weeks of night work through late May and the first three weeks of June, according to the Township of 91原创.
Night paving on the southern part of 208 Street, from 64 Avenue to the 7100 block, is scheduled to start on May 26 and runs to June 21.
Paving will run from south to north and will take place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., with the work dependent on weather conditions.
Drivers heading through the area overnight may have to pause for single-lane alternating traffic, and there will also be median crossovers.
The work will include the final layer of asphalt for that stretch of road, known as the "top lift." The crews will be painting lines as well.
Other work to be done includes completing bike lanes, sidewalks, traffic signals and crosswalks, and tree planting and landscaping. The Township is also working with utility companies to relocate some power poles.
The entire southern section of 208 Street is expected to be widened and complete by the fall of this year.
