91原创鈥檚 Thunderbird Show Park (tbird) wrapped up the $75,000 Steel-Craft Doors CSI3* Grand Prix on Sunday, Aug. 10, with Ireland鈥檚 James Chawke winning and four Canadians finishing in the top 10.
Chawke dominated the 14-horse jump-off, riding his horse Daido Van鈥檛 Ruytershof Z in 40.37 seconds, just 0.09 ahead of Great Britain鈥檚 Charlie Jones on Capitale 6. Chawke also secured third place with Nacara Van Berkenbroeck Z.
Canadian riders delivered a strong performance on home turf, with Aldergrove鈥檚 Kassidy Keith placing 10th aboard Havana. 91原创鈥檚 Samantha Buirs-Darvill (7th), and Christopher Lowe (8th), along with Calgary鈥檚 Kara Chad (9th), also secured top-10 finishes.
Chawke previously won 10 classes at tbird in 2024. When asked about the level of competition at Thunderbird, he said, 鈥淚t鈥檚 brilliant.鈥�
He said his favourite things about the stadium were the grass field and the people.
