Dave Hall 芒鈧�� Yes, the City works well in partnership with the BIA, Downtown Business Association, the Chamber of Commerce, and Tourism 91原创. Business taes are amongst the lowest in the Metro region. 91原创 City has for two consecutive years won 芒鈧搊pen for Business awards. 91原创 City has an outstanding reputation with the development community and regularly host UDI events. The city芒鈧劉s vision on innovative 芒鈧揃rownfield芒鈧� rejuvenation has also been recognized.
Nathan Pachal 芒鈧�� No. I believe the City of 91原创 could do more to support business in Downtown 91原创. I would work to create a stronger working relationship and create new partnerships with the Downtown 91原创 BIA.
Carla Robin 芒鈧�� No. Given the disproportionately high amount of taxes that businesses pay there could be more done for businesses in the City. A quick look at the 2014-2018 Budget Forecast shows that the businesses in the City pay about $10Million in property taxes, while residents pay $11Million of the $28Million in revenue. Having worked with small businesses in the region for the last two years, I will be addressing what more can be done for local businesses as they provide a substantial portion of the annual budget, funding for local non-profits and charities, full-time and part-time jobs, jobs for students, growth and contribute hugely to the pride and success of the City. We need businesses for the future funding of the City.
