She may have bought her winning lottery ticket on a rainy day, but the future is looking a bit brighter for a 91原创 woman who recently won $200,000.

Mary Rambarran had just hung up from talking to her daughter, when the power went out.

So, she decided she鈥檇 use the quiet time to scratch a Royal Riches scratch and win ticket she鈥檇 bought at the Save-On-Foods store at 201st Street and Fraser Highway earlier that day.

鈥淚t was a rainy day and I grabbed some scratch and win tickets to play inside,鈥� Rambarran recalled.

Her scratching revealed she鈥檚 landed the game鈥檚 top prize of $200,000.

鈥淚 didn鈥檛 believe it at first and just looked at it!鈥�

Rambarran called her daughter right back to share the news.

鈥淪he was so surprised. I had just called her a few minutes before to chat鈥� I scratched my tickets and then called her back to tell her.鈥�

Ask how she鈥檚 feeling being $200,000 richer, Rambarran admitted the shock hadn鈥檛 totally worn off yet.

鈥淵ou don鈥檛 think it鈥檚 real鈥� It鈥檚 amazing and will be very helpful for retirement. When I was younger, I always said I would buy a Porsche but I鈥檓 past that now,鈥� she added with a chuckle.
